The BSS requires the surveyor to have relevant experience in this field and appropriate knowledge of Building Construction
Sufficient knowledge of the local area
All construction styles inc materials and techniques
General environment issues, Flooding, Radon nose, soil condition
Conservation and historic areas
Local and regional government organisations
Socio-historical/Industrial development in areas
The client must understand the choice of survey and clear understanding of key element of the service.
An obligatory copyright licence must be purchased to reproduce survey
Negligence - court shall consider any relevant practice notes in deciding whether surveyor acted with reasonable competence.
