Substance Handling
Strategic Management
-
Se pretende controlar las plagas a través de enemigos naturales, es decir, otros insectos que son depredadores de la plaga y son inofensivos a la plantación
Biological control is defined as an activity in which a series of natural enemies, also called predators, are manipulated in order to reduce or even completely combat parasites affecting a given plantation.

Poison and Insecticides
-
Ingestion insecticides, also called stomach-toxic insecticides, act on the digestive tract causing poisoning.
Insecticides are chemical substances formulated for the elimination of insects. It is a sector that has caused great alarm in the past because of its environmental effects, and the ability to eliminate useful insects indiscriminately.
Systemic insecticides, also called endotherapeutants because of their internal action, have the property of being absorbed by plants, passing into the sap through the epidermis of leaves, flowers, stems or roots.

Pests and Diseases
The amount of natural enemies to be released depends on the number of infected plants.
Depending on the weather conditions, the action of these natural enemies will be influenced.
These predators are more active when there is a massive amount of parasites in the area to be treated, encouraging the former to multiply faster and stay longer in the release area.
The natural enemies are insects, tiny mites, so their handling is very delicate.
They should be stored in relatively cool conditions, with room temperature and direct sunlight.
