a set of mathematical procedures for organizing, summarizing, and interpreting information
t-Statistic - used to test hypotheses about an unknown population mean when the standard deviation is unknown.
Degrees of Freedom - df=n-1, it determines the number of scores in the sample that are independent and free to vary.
"Estimated d" - the calculated value when the population values are not known and you have to substitute the corresponding sample values in their place.
Assumptions of a t-Test - the values in a sample must consist of independent observations and the population that has been sampled must be normal
Percentage of Variance Accounted for by the Treatment - the value when the removing the treatment effect reduces the variability.

Pearson Correlation r - the most popular form of correlation. It measures the degree of linear relationship.
Linear Relationship - the equation to show linear relationship is: Y=bX + a. In this equation a & b are fixed constants.
Correlations - the statistical measurement of the relationship that is acquired in a correlational study.
-
-
-
-
Predictions - if two variables are related, it is possible to make accurate predictions using one of the variables.
-
-
Theory Verification - the meaning of a proposition is shown by the way it is qualitatively authenticated.
-
-
-
Coefficient of Determination - measures the proportion of variability from one variable that can be determined from the relationship with another variable.
-
Spearman Correlation - the results when the Pearson correlation is used with data from an ordinal scale.
-
-
-
Standard Error of Estimate - gives a standard distance of measurement between the predicted Y and the actual Y.
