Usages of Conjunctions
Conjunctions are used to combine sentences together, but each conjunction also has a different meaning:
But
This preposition serves as sort of an excuse to contradict or contrast what the first statement is saying with the second one.
So
This conjunction could have two meanings: one, to elaborate on a statement; and two, to express the main goal or purpose of a statement.
Or
The sole purpose of this conjunction is to provide the listener with an option between both statements that are being combined.
Because
Because is similiar to the first meaning of so, given that it is only used to provide an explanation to a statement.
And
This conjunction expresses the ideas of two statements happening simultaneously or that are meant to be understood together.
