Which country would you choose to settle down in and why
RUSSIA
following the crowd
the most underrated and mysterious country on earth
buy yourself a big plot of land and build yourself a gaff
the equivalent price of
return to nature
feel a warm tingling sensation in your soul
the hospitality the locals provide
SOUTHERN GERMANY
gazing up at the Alps lining the horizon
pine trees scattered on the hill sides
cattle grazing minding their own business
tranquil corner
with its bountiful beauty
where I’d love to set up camp
scale the mountains
nothing but your backpack and thoughts to keep you company
THE USA
good old
living in large metropolitan cities
with millions of ways to entertain myself
I’d most likely choose
a bustling city like New York or Chicago
I need everything within walking distance
The main attraction is me being a foodie
it does look tantalizingly tasty
VIETNAM
Only up until recently
a 3rd world hell-hole
the nation really seems to have picked up the pieces
one of the most desirable tourist destinations
rock-bottom accommodation costs
a heap-load of job opportunities
have a thing for
offers the most exquisite delicacies
AUSTRALIA
it’s sparsely populated
I can keep myself to myself
contend with creepy crawlies
highly venomous snakes
make light work of my 90kg
I want to lead a simple existence
I’d get myself a little shack with a large plot of land
try my hand at farming
SPAIN
I’ve been eyeing up … recently
I find something about … culture quite alluring
it’s having the sun constantly in your face
the food is divine
it defines the meaning of freshness
I love the whole social scene
you can eat and drink into the early hours
take a stroll down some sandy beach
It’s heavenly
Not many countries can boast all that.
FINLAND
I’ve gone a bit doolally
Fair enough
the country experiences temperatures in the range of -60
small Scandinavian enclave
tops the world’s list
the most desirable country to live in
Its school system is second to none
constantly retains the top spot on international rankings
state-run health system works extremely efficiently
you’re taxed to high-heaven
you see where the money is spent
GREECE
I’d like to relocate to
don’t have a care in the world
take life in its stride
so my kind of place
pick yourself up a half-decent apartment for peanuts
if you can work online, you’re laughing
without all those deadly e-numbers
you can enjoy it to your heart’s content
There is a degree of Give and Take
don’t expect the local authorities to lift a finger
But let’s look on the bright side
