General Basic Education Level

It receives children between six and feefteen years old. This one is universal, free and obligatory which takes eleven studying

Students have the following Rights
They have the rights to receive free and obligatory education if they are between four and fifteen years old.
National Education System Duty is
To satisfy basic teaching necessities of the students and the society based on clear socio-politics, cultural, economics, psychological, pedagogical, ethic and moral values.

Beginning Education
The programs from 4 to 5 years are in an evaluation and revision phase to be generalized to the entire educational system.
The evaluation for four and five years is in a process of elaboration to be validated.
Elementary Education
Review of the general objectives of General Basic Education
For each of the subjects of the E.B.G. the scope poster was reworked and sequence.
Special care is taken with the correlation of the subjects to maintain the integrity and avoid repetition of content.
Media Educational Level
Definition
It is up to secondary education to provide, through the teaching and learning processes, the knowledge, attitudes, skills and competences necessary for young people to function successfully in the field of continuing their studies or in the daily life of the world of work. .
Regime of Rights and Duties
Article 87. Everyone has the right to education and the responsibility to educate themselves. The state organizes and directs the public service of national education and guarantees parents the right to participate in the education of their children.
Article 88. Education must maintain the comprehensive harmonic development of the student within social coexistence, in the physical, intellectual, moral, aesthetic and civic aspect and to seek their training for useful work in their own interest and for the collective benefit.
rticle 89. It is recognized that the purpose of Panamanian education is to promote in the student a national consciousness based on knowledge of the history and problems of the country.

At the level of secondary education there are programs that have been experimented in Panama between 1993 and the present, these programs have been evaluated and are currently in use in a good number of educational centers of this level.
Media Education Curriculum Structure
The conceptualization of secondary education. Currently, a document is being reviewed that includes the legal bases, public policies, universal trends and a proposal for the organized formulation of secondary education. Significant aspects of the curricular approach to constructivism and socio-constructivism are also included, as well as valuable topics on education.
Higher Education Level
Definition
The third level of education or higher is made up of post secondary education, secondary education, non-university higher education and university higher education.
Educación Superior no Universitaria
This education is provided in non-university higher education centers and post-media education centers.
The characteristics that are provided are of special importance for the development of the country since they are in charge of dynamic educational institutions that respond to the demand of the productive sector and that specialize in their field, offering studies that cover technical, basic and certification levels.

Distance Education or Training
It is the process by which a person or groups of people can prepare themselves cognitively, technically and attitudinally; through support materials and the help of one or several tutores without the need to permanently attend face-to-face sessions.
Non- Regular Sub-System of Education.
Beginning Education Level
Article 37: Initial education will consist of three stages Nursery 1: Includes infants from birth to 2 years of age. Kindergarten 2: Includes nursery schools whose ages range from two to four years. Preschool 3: Includes preschoolers from four to five years old
Young and Adults Education
Literacy or high school: This program has the fundamental interest of eliminating illiteracy in all its forms, in people over 15 years of age.
Completion of Primary Studies: Program that offers youth and adult participants a basic education of a general nature within three years.
Popular culture and small industries: It is aimed at training youth and adults in certain vocational careers and trades that allow them to improve their cultural level and living conditions.
