Factors that effect

They increase reaction rates without altering the chemical equilibrium between reactants and products.

Increase the rate of the chemical reactions without being consumed or permanently altered by the reaction.

The lock and key model, the shape of the active site matches the shape of its substrate molecules.

The induced fit model, both the substrate and the active site of the enzyme change in conformation until the substrate is completely bound to the enzyme, at which point the final shape and charge is determined.

Enzyme activity can be affected by a variety of factors, such as temperature, pH, and concentration. Enzymes work best within specific temperature and pH ranges, and sub-optimal conditions can cause an enzyme to lose its ability to bind to a substrate.

Enzymes are proteins comprised of amino acids linked together in one or more polypeptide chains. This sequence of amino acids in a polypeptide chain is called the primary structure. This, in turn, determines the three-dimensional structure of the enzyme, including the shape of the active site.

ANABOLISM

Photosynthesis

Photosynthesis is an anabolism process during which plants use energy from sunlight to convert carbon dioxide gas and water into sugar molecules.
