The 18 th century in England is called "Augustan Age" with reference to the roman period of political stability and prosperity of culture; and it was a "golden age".
The Age of Reason was characterized by a break with the past: a reject of what philosofphy dad defined in the past without verificated and demostrated it; and by a new approach to sience.
it was a period of innovation, rejection and liberation in the history of England (rejection of the extremism and liberation of the limits of superstition and ignorance) : ENLIGHTEMENT
