Brown vs Board of Ed
One of the first laws of it's kind that didn't rule off of a preceding case. The court was revolutionary in that is said that it couldn't go off the past in this case because they had to acknowledge it was wrong. (HTL)
It was the bases to integrate schools all over the country, although the enforcing of it took a lot of time and pressure. (HTL)
Culture and History
Asian and Native American students (as well as other cultures) had to rely on oral history in order to pass down their culture and what happened to them. In order that the history be remembered. (SB)
Because of standardized testing there was only one curriculum being taught around the country to all students. This allowed them to use the same measurement but also disregarded a lot of cultures. (Doc)
Students were marginalized and schools didn't get as much money because their students didn't do as well on the tests. (Doc and HTL)
