Stereotypical spoilt daughter set to be married to Gerald
Less well mannered as she frequently pokes fun at Gerald (reducing the formality of the situation)- acting as a sense of relatability to lower class readers.
Has a sibling relationship with Eric,

Skeptical of Gerald (half joking tone- reduces the pressure on Gerald) so showing a presence and power to be critical of men.
