Memory
working memory
4 basic components:
Reach into our long-term memory
Store immediate experiences
Lighten our current goal
Processes
It is great for communicating, critical thinking and problem solving. It's limited in capacity, limited in focus and limited in duration. We tend to remember four things for about 10 to 20 seconds unless we process it or we do something with it.
We can solve out this issues in different ways: process what is happening at that certain time, repeat it, think elaborate and illustratively, use imagery and organize and support it.
working memory is the part of the consciousness in which we are aware of at any time of the day. It is not something that we can turn off, we can not control it.

Stages of memory
Encording memory:
When information comes into our memory system, it needs to be changed into a form that the system can cope with, so that it can be stored. 3 main ways in which information can be encode are: Visual, Acoustic and semantic.
Memory storage
Is in charge of storing the information. Where the information is stores, the duration and the capacity.
Memory retrievel
Is in charge of getting information out of storage. If we can´t remeber something it is because we wasn´t able to retrive it.

STM is stored and retrieved sequentially. They are recent memories that we store for a short amount of time
