I have been teaching for 1.5 years and have worked at both the high school and middle school level. I am certified in social studies but have my temporary certification for special education and am interested in a co teaching position. I love utilizing reading in my class and using those readings to create discussion and arguments to be written. I have noticed that in my inclusion classes reading ability, and therefore the ability to formulate arguments or ideas based on the reading, can vary significantly. I am interested in how effective my current strategies are and what the current literature says about differentiating reading/writing.
The actual topic
Content specific reading comprehension, specifically social studies if possible, and transferring and expressing the ideas learned and forming arguments (analyzing and evaluating resources)
