In February 1775, General Gage unseccessfully attempted to seize rebel weapons from Salem
On 18th April 1775, Gage attempted a secret mission to Concord to seize or destroy a military store.
Warned by radicals, British troops were met by 75 volunteers at Lexington and the first shots were fired.
They pushed on to concord and destroyed the stores but were steadily fired at all the way back to Boston.
