PNEUMONIA IN IMMUNOCOMPROMISED HOST
a complex infection and inflammation of the lower respiratory tract, complicated by widespread multi-drug antibiotic resistance, and aided by medical advances such as improvements in diagnostic measures and immunosuppressive agents

ASPIRATION PNEUMONIA
occurs when food or liquid is breathed into the airways or lungs, instead of being swallowed
Risk factors
Impaired cough reflex (eg stoke, neurologic disorder, C2H5OHxs, drug overdose)

Pyloric stenosis (a thickening or swelling of the pylorus — the muscle between the stomach and the intestines — that causes severe and forceful vomiting in the first few months of life)
Esophageal obstruction (obstruction of esophagus by ingested foreign body like pork, meat, etc)
Hiatus hernia (a condition where part of the stomach pushes up into the lower chest through a weakness in the diaphragm)
CAUSES
Aspirate non sterile contents eg food, drink, gastric contents (incl gastric acid)
