Circuit Devices
LDR is short for light dependent resistor. The resistor of a thermistor depends on temperature. This can use LDRs and thermistors in sensing circuits.

Electricity in the Home
Mains supply is the battery supply. The most cables have three separate wires, and the live wire can give an electrical shock.
- Earth Wire.
- Live Wire.
- Neutral Wire.
Investigating Resistance
Investigating by adding resistors in the series circuit or in parallel.
The results should match the resistance rules.
Parallel Circuit
Parallel circuits are independent and isolated. Potential difference is same across all components and current is shared between branches. Adding a resistor in parallel e
reduces the total resistance.
Series Circuit
A series circuit is all or nothing. The potential difference is shared, and current is the same everywhere and resistance gets added up. Cell potential differences will get added up.

The National Grid
Electricity is distributed via the National Grid. Electricity production must meet demand. The National Grid uses a low current and a high Pd
Power
Potential difference is energy transferred per charge passed. Power also depends on current and potential difference
