Hierarchy Structure. It depends on having various degrees of authority with a chain of leadership interfacing numerous administration levels inside the association. Functional Structure – New World Supermarket:
I have identified the Supermarket to be under a Functional structure as people with similar skills are placed into departments such as Butchery, Deli, Bakery, Produce and so on. (Accounting and Human resources have their own areas too). These departments are overseen by department managers.
All staff are kept up to date and informed using an app called Beekeeper for effective communication. This is a informal line of communication, though not impeding on personal media. Also, every department has a phone to call other departments and or use the intercom throughout the store to locate other staff. On the beekeeper app there is a private forum for each department and one for the entire staff. Staff are called up for meetings or are spoken to in person which is a Formal line of communication.
A professional Relationship between staff is based on matureness, trust, respect, and cooperation.
