Kant: 18th century German philosopher, Kant is writing his book called critique of pure reason, his argument is more directed at descartes’ version. Argues that existence is not a predicate (charisteristic), just because we know something exists, doesn’t mean we know any of its charisteristics (eg something that which nothing greater can be conceived), so while god may exist, doesn’t mean we know his charisteristics. Quote by Kant - “existence is not a predicate”.
