  - - - :red_cross: Context effects vary in recall and recognition: Godden and Baddeley (1980) replicated their experiment using a recognition test instead of a recall, there was no context-dependent effect, and findings were the same in all 4 conditions. This suggests that RF is a limited explanation for forgetting, as it only applies when a person has to recall information rather than recognize it.
