well made plays
a well made play should include:
should have an inciting incident - something to show what
the protagonist
a protagonist - a character who is willing to do anything to get what they want and whom the audience sides with.
Antagonist – a character who creates obstacles for the Protagonist and often wants something just as badly.
a beginning – where we find out what the Protagonist wants, and why. Also introduces all characters.
the journey (middle) – where we see the Protagonist trying different ways to get what they want and the antagonist tries to iintervine
climax – the moment where the Protagonist has only one option left for getting what they want. Tension is at its highest point
ending - where we see if the protagonist reaches their goals or not
i think 'an inspector calls' is a well made play as it contains the majority of these things.
morality plays
Morality plays teach the audience a lesson or a message relating to the seven deadly sins: lust, gluttony, greed, sloth, wrath, envy and pride. the characters who commit these sins are punished but are given a chance to redeem themselves
