Formative
Formative assessments are ongoing assessments that evaluate the students knowledge as they are learning.
Exit Ticket: Students will fill out an exit ticket writing at least 5 of the 25 sight words we reviewed.
Turn & Talk: Students will turn and talk with their peers where they will each share the sight words that they know/remember. The teacher will circulate and listen during this time
Interm/Benchmark
Interim/Benchmark assessments are tests that allow teachers to understand what a students knows and don't know, allowing the teacher to focus on the don'ts to guide future instruction.
MAP test: A Computerized test to measure students knowledge in the content according to/aligned to the TEKS.
STAAR Test: A State standardized test used in Texas public schools to assess a students grasp on the content learned in their grade level.
Summative
Summative Assessment are assessments that bring together what the student knows, understands and can do as an overall view.
End of Unit exam: students will have an end of unit exam where they will have to identify and read the 25 sight words.
Final Project: Students will write a sentence using the sight words reviewed and draw a picture to match the sentence.
Preformance
Performance Assessment is an assessment that requires students to demonstrate what they know and are able to do.

Diagnostic
Diagnostic assessment is a pre assessment that allows a teacher to evaluate a students individual strengths and needs prior to instruction.

Pre-assessment: students will have a pre assessment on the 25 sight words, teacher will point to them and students will have to read them/ teacher will say the word students will point to it.
