Diagnostic
Definition
: A pre-assessment. that Is administered In order to collect data regarding students' learning capabilities and needs.
Survey
: Students will complete a survey as their very first assignment In the class. It will serve as a pre-assessment so that their teacher can get to know more about them on a personal level. This Is where they can share anything that they feel their teacher may need to know In order to learn best.
Quiz
: Students will take a pre-assessment quiz so that the teacher can get a feel for their prior knowledge of the basics of the class.
Interim/Benchmark

: An assessment that consistently reappears throughout the academic year to gradually measure student progress.
Pre-SAT
: Students will take the PSAT as a practice test In preparation for the Incoming SAT.

: Students will write a journal entry In their class composition notebook each day of class to keep track of their learning process. For example, students may write, in their journal, a Quick-Write response to the text that we are reading In class.

: On their school Chromebooks, students will take a Kahoot quiz that covers the vocabulary words and their definitions that were taught during class.
