Conclusions
Participants in the experimental group improved their listening comprehension skills and outperformed those in the control group.
The ability for each child to play the story several times also guaranteed a long time of exposure to the target language.
Participants in the experimental group were able to comprehend basic linguistic structures and vocabulary and outperformed the control group.
In order to obtain a better result, it is believed that existing materials and resources should be adapted into a slower story-telling pace for the non-native young learners to be able to follow better.
