Regional organisations can be both financial and nonfinancial institutions; they are a subclass of international organisations. They are made up of supranational organisations whose members are the governments or central banks of countries in a particular part of the world. Regional organisation open to members from a particular region or continent. For example European Union (EU), African Union (AU), Organization of American States (OAS),Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
