Air transport or transport by plane is the service of transferring passengers or cargo from one place to another, through the use of aircraft.
This mode of transport, in principle, was thought and developed only for passengers; however, thanks to the use of air containers and the design of new cargo planes, the volume of goods transported by this means increases year after year. Advances in air navigation, telecommunications, and electronic facilities have enabled aviation to make amazing progress.
