What are regular verb? A regular ver is one that conforms to the usual rule for forming its simple past tense and its past participal
Spelling Rules for Creating the Past Forms of Regular Verbs*
If a verb of one syllable ends, double the final consonant and add "ed":
• chat à chatted
For regular verbs, the "simple past tense" and "past particle" are formed like this:
Add "ed" to most verbs:
• jump à jumped
If the final consonant is "w," "x," or "y," don't double it:
• sew à sewed
. If the verb ends "e," just add "d":
• thrive à thrived
If the verb ends [consonant + "y"], change the "y" to an "i" and add "ed":
• cry à cried

Group A: “-ed”à“T”

Group B: “ed”à”D”
If the last sound in the verb is a voiced one, such as in l, v, n, m, r, b, v, g, w, y,
z, and vowel sounds, or diphthongs, then pronounce the "-ed" ending as "D."
Group C: “ed”à”ID”
If the last sound in the infinitive verb is a t or d, pronounce the "-ed" ending as
“ID.”
My opinion of the story is that the protagonist of the story kept writing in his diary so as not to forget any detail of his life that he lived and also experienced difficulties both in his country and in San Francisco
If the infinitive of the verb has a voiceless sound at the end of it, such as p, k, s,
ch, sh, f, x, or h, you pronounce the "ed" ending as a “T”.

Simple Present Spelling Rules: -s and -es endings
Add-s to most verbs
Add-es to vebs ending in-sh-ch-s- and -z
Change -y to -i and add -es to verbs ending in a consonant + y:

When the verb ends with “y” but has a consonant before, change the “y” for “i” and add -es

When the verb ends with “y” but has a vowel before, just add -s
