  - - - Scientists made some assumptions about the particles that form Ideal gas which are:
      - Gas particles are in constant, random motion. They travel in straight lines until they collide with other particles or with the wall of the container.
      - Individual gas particles are considered point masses. A point mass is a mass that has no volume—it takes up no space.
      - Gas particles do not exert attractive or repulsive forces on one another.
      - The gas particles interact with one another and with the walls of their container only through elastic collisions (in which kinetic energy is exchanged but conserved).
      - The average kinetic energy of gas particles is directly related to temperature.
