Interim/ Benchmark

definition- the gathering of evidence of students learning during instruction that gives immediate feedback to adjust instruction such as reteach or move on to the next lesson.

exit ticket-the student will write what onomatopoeia is and one example from the book

discussion-the student will have a turn and talk to identify what onomatopoeia is.

definition- assessments that are given during a specific time period to gather information about a students learning to adjust instruction if necessary.

NWEA- as assessment that monitors progress and growth based on a students learning need

chapter quiz- assessment that monitors what the student has learned during a particular chapter or unit

Summative

definition- assessments given at the end of a semester or unit that monitors what the student has learned during that time period

final projects- the student creates a project based of a rubric where certain information about their learning must be included

semester exam- an assessment that is given at the end of a semester that assesses what the student learned during the course of the entire semester or unit

Performance

definition- an assessment that informs based on standards, strategies and indicates if their is or is not progress from the student

oral retelling- the students retell the story based of comprehension or understanding of the passage read aloud.

summary- the students gives a brief summary of what happened in the story by giving the main points.

Diagnostic

definition- assessment used to inform teachers of a students achievement gaps or academic abilities

pre course test- a test that is given before the teaching of a unit or lesson to gather information about what the student know or don't know about the subject

running records- reading/ literacy assessment that are given to a student to determine their level of reading and comprehension
