Variation in a species
A species is a group of organisms that can reproduce with one another to produce offspring that can also
reproduce.
Variation that has a range of values is continuous
variation (e.g. height). If it has certain values (e.g. eye colour), it is called discontinuous variation

sunburn and having a scar are examples of environmental variation
Inherited variation is caused by features being passed from parents to their
offspring during reproduction.
