Formative

Example 2: BAS Test: given one to one and it involves a teacher listening to a student read and then having a discussion about the book.
Summative
Definition: A way to evaluate student learning at the end of an instructional unit by comparing it against some standard or benchmark. They are often high stakes because they have a high point value.
