Tip is covered by root cap. It consists of parenchyma so that help protect the root tissue and the root growth
cortex is below epidermis layer. It consists of ground tissue but are involved in transport and storage of plant substances

Taproots
consists of a thick root with a few smaller, lateral – branching roots

Stems

Cells produced by the apical meristem result in an increase in the length of the stem. As the plant grows taller, an increase in stem diameter provides additional support.
