Christianity & Research
Encourages the conduct of research and knowledge exploration for the christians where they should not just follow the world or others blindly.
Stemmed from the teaching of Jesus in the 1st century AD.
One should test their knowledge to find out the truth and liability of the said knowledge.
Christians are advised to to discover more knowledge as there are hidden discoveries that may only be found through active searching for knowledge.
One must keep learning to be able to change their opinions based on their knowledge, and differentiating what is the acceptable truth.
Actively explore more of the world and the knowledge enable people to explicitly see what God has given them.
Islam & Research
Provides the advice to not accept information or knowledge blindly or by guess. One must conduct a proper research in confirming the the information or instructin one has received.
Without proper research, one would not reach the truth and would just follow false information.
Stated that one should never follow or obey something when they does not have the knowledge of it.
Encourages Muslims to dive deeper to learn the Qu'ran to understand the scripture thoroughly in order to gain vast knowledge that is goverend by Allah.
Believe there is only one God-Allah
Doing research is needed because there will be problems arising daily and there is a need to tackle these problems.
Hinduism & Research
Consists of varying branches that stem out into many sects, anad the major branches are Vaishnavism and Shaivism.
Encourages the followers to search for knowledge in order for them to gain the state of moksha which allows them to escape the cycle of reincarnation.
Oldest major religion in the world and it was originated from the Vedic Religion of Ancient India.
Being able to understand oneself is also a form of research as a human being would need to to learn deeply about his or her surroundings in order to understand his/herself.
Buddhism & Research
Based on teachings of Siddhartha Gautama @ Buddha.
Founded in the northeastern India between the sixth and fourth centuries BCE.
Goal of Buddhism is to achieve nirvana, where the human escapes from the suffering and from the rebirth cycle.
Imposes that one should try to balance their thoughts in believing or denying a knowledge one has learned.
Critical thinking is important so that one can judge the truth of the knowledge using their personal experiences in life.
Buddha encourages his followers to look at knowledge or information as something that should not be unconditionally believed, as he himself do not claim to be omniscient and should not be followed blindly.
Focuses on critical thinking, balance between dogmatism and skepticism and prior knowledge to assess knowledge.
