Natural growth
When birth rate outpaces death rate
Consequences
Social
Crime rates soaring due to lack of job opportunities
Formation of slums due to lack of housing
Infrastructure not keeping up with the number of people
Poverty of access to basic services such as clean water, proper sewage, electricity
Economic
Too many people leading to not enough job availability leading to high unemployment rates
Lack of proper education leads to unskilled workforce, which leads to lack of economic productivity
All of this leads to higher numbers of people working in the informal sector
Dangerous conditions, below minimum wage pay, no sick/maternity/holiday leave, long hours of work
Environmental
Rubbish is not collected - can damage environment and attract vermin which can carry disease
Congestion, pollution
More factories means more environmental damage
