During the mid 1000 BC the end of the New Kingdom Kush broke apart from Egypt again. In the 700s BC a Kushite king Kashta seized Egypts weakness and by 751 BC they had control over upper Egypt and established realations with lower Egypt.

Women of Kush
Some women rose to authority and served as co-rulers along side here husband, even some women ruled the empire.
Historians believed that the first women Kush ruler was a queen named Shanakhdakheto she ruled from 170 BC to 150 BC
They worked in the fields, raised children, and cooked along with other household tasks.

Geography
Kush was south of Egypt and a group of people settled in the region we now call Nubia. The development of Kushite society was greatly influenced by the geography of Nubia.
In ancient Kush it was more fertile than it is now, the floods of the Nile helped develop the fertile land in this area
