- - - - When in contact with moisture/water, inhaling corrosive vapours and mists can cause severe irritation and damage to respiratory tract
      - Keep chemicals on low shelves, to minimise injury should spills occur
      - Dont store acids and alkalis tgt, as they react tgt violently
      - Dont store with flammable chemicals as most acids are oxidisers
      - Keep in corrosive cabinet
    - - Keep chemical away from ignition source
      - Store in 1 hour fire-rated cabinet away from heat source, in a cool, ventilated area
      - Do not store with oxidising or reactive chemicals
    - - Stored in gas cylinder, chemical and physical hazard
      - Store in minimum quantities, with labels like empty, in use and full
      - Stationary gas cylinder should be secured with safety chains in upright position to prevent falling over
      - Dont store near heat source and potential physical damage
      - Dont store with incompatible gases
    - - Breakable chemical containers should be stored in a secondary container
        
        • All chemical containers should be dated when received or opened
        
        • Equip chemical storage areas with facilities for emergency response
        
        • When not in use, all chemicals should be locked to keep away from unauthorised persons

        • On the floor
        
        • On laboratory bentchtops
        
        • Above eye-level
        
        • In fume hood
        
        • In excessive quantity
      - Do store chemicals
        
        • Away from source of heat which are properly labelled
        
        • By compatibility first, then by alphabetical order
        
        • In proper cabinets for segregation
        
        • Use specially designed cabinets for storage
        
        • Cabinets should be clearly labelled on hazardous nature of content
