        The history of all societies is a history of class struggles: The reason of conflict in history of humanity is social strata or classes, according to Marx the origin is the private ownership of property.
        
        The rich get richer and the poor get poorer.
        
        The masses in capitalist society suffer from alienation: Alienation comes from the condition in work: noncreative work environment of the factory system.
        
        Mode of production: Marx identified two aspects of the mode of production:
        -The means of production represent the essential elements needed for economic production such as technology, land, tools, capital, machinery, and monetary systems.
        -Social relations of production entail the relationships individuals hold to the means of production, meaning if they own the means of production, or are subjugated to working within systems, such as the factory structure
        
        False consciousness and class consciousness: People are unable to recognise their social position, if people will know their social position they will do a social revolution to destroy the capital system.
- - - - Crime derives from capitalism: only with the fall of capitalism will crime be eliminated from society.
- - - - The more congruent these two norms (cultural and social) are, the greater the chance that those who break them will be criminalised.
        
        According to turk, the conflict between those who hold power (authority) and those who are subjected to it (resistant) is not inevitable (as it was for Marx) but depends on the relations and relationships between the two.
