- - - - Parallel Dimension makes use of datum surface as reference
    - - Simplifies parallel dimensions in order to reduce the space used on a drawing
      - The dimension note can appear above the dimension line or in line with the projection line.
    - - only to be used if the function of the object would not be affected by the accumulation of the tolerances
    - - Basically combining the use of chain and parallel dimensioning

        holes are located by their centrelines
    - - Angled surface are dimension using coordinate method in order to specify the two location distances of the angle
      - Angular surfaces may also be dimensioned using the angular method by specifying one location distance and the angle
