Bounded Anteriorly by the anterior Midline of the neck,Posteriorly by anterior border of the Trapezius, Superiorly by the Lower border of the body of the mandible and line extending from the angle of the mandible to the mastoid process and Inferiorly by the Clavicle

Trapezius Muscle
Insertion
Upperr fibres sweep downward to be inserted into the posterior border and upper surface of the Lateral third of the Clavice
Middle fibres rum horizontally to be inserted into the medial border of the acromion and the upper lip of the spine of the Scapula

Actions
The Uppermost fibres together with the Levator Scapula elevate the shoulder and are thus responsible for Shrugging the Shoulder
The Middle and Lower parts of the muscles act with the Rhomboids in retracting and Steadying the Scapula
Origin
It arises from the Medal Third of the Superior Nuchal Line, External Occipital Protuberance, Ligamentum Nuchae, Spine of C7 and Spine of all the Thoracic Vertebrae
