Burden of disease: is a measurement of the impact of disease and injuries, specifically It measures the difference between current health status and an ideal situation where everyone lives to an old age free of disease and disablity

Mental health problem- is a short term, mild and temporary problem or concern that impacts the way a person thinks, feels and/or behaves
Mental disorder: is when a person has a range of thoughts, feelings and/or behaviours that cause the person distress and can affect the way they live they everyday life. Often diagnosed by a mental health professional

Beyondblue: an independent, not for profit organisation that provides information on depression and anxiety. There is also facts about mental health and sucide prevention, ways to get support and information about treatment ideas.
Direct cost: we can put an accurate monetary value on. It is when we add up the cost of prevention, treatment, or diagnosis of a disease or illness. example: cost of medication, cost to see a psychologist, cost of ambulance transport.
Indirect cost: are the monetary costs that occur when a person has a disease or illness, but are not specifically associated with the treatment or diagnosis of the disease or illness. example: loss of income, travel costs to get treatment, pay extra for tutouring, loss productivity
Intangible cost: you can't put a monetary amount on. They relate to the loss of quality of like and social, emotional cost. Example: anxiety due to missing school, loss of quality of life for not attending regular activities, loss of self esteem due to stigma, stress on family members
Advocacy: refers to having a public support or working in the best interests of another person/group (eg youth)
