Absorption
Take water and dissolved mineral salts from the soil through their roots, that carry out this process.

Transport

It is distributed by pholem vessels from the leaves to other parts of the plant. The system of vessels form the pholem tissue.
These vessels make up the tissue called xylem. That transport raw sap up from the roots through the stem to the leaves.

Photosynthesis
Chloroplast contain chlorophyll, a green pigment that absorbs energy from sunlight.

Green plants, using the energy they obtain from sunlight, make their own organic matter from water and carbon dioxide.
