        if uniqueId found: use the same uniqieId and set status to FINAL
        
        If no copies: then
        generate uniqueId and set status to DIRTY
        Copy Disc without uniqueId
        
        If record not found:
        Check for previousNaturalId in the cache
        
        If previousNID found:
        Goto "check copies for uniqueId logic"
        
        Update the existing record.
        This needs appending of naturalIds to new record and trigger a notification.
        
        Also update the copies with the proper assetRedId
        
        Add old record to assets_log table.
        
        if no previousNatId found:
        TODO
        Begin search for all the incoming naturalIds in the self._cache._nat_id_idx
        
        If there is a hit:
        we have an asset where R02 has changed while R00/R01 remained the same.
        
        If prevNaturalId field does not contain any data, begin search for all naturalIds in the nat_id_indx cache
        
        Check for diff resources.
        If diffType.resource: This means overwrite the existing record. Update the naturalIds and then overwrite
        
        If there is no diff, then there is nothing do.
        Set unique_id based on boolean
        
        if diffType.Opaque: set unique_id accordingly.
        
        diffType.missing: resurrect, set unique_id and notify
        
        if difftype is None: Its a new asset.
        Search for copies. Get unique_id from copies.
        If unique_id, found use it and set status to DIRTY.
        else: set a new uniqie_id

      - if unique_id not present: generate id and wait for the next steps to set status
        unique_id = False
        This means its either a legacy asset or a new one.

        unique_Id = True
