MODELLING AND TEXTURING MAPPING
NURBS-mathematical model type that uses smooth curves as guideparts that will span surfaces between them.
Modelling-essential part of 3D animation model created from scratch or based on 3D scan or other form
Texturing-Apply color and surface properties to the model
Polygons-Geometry types most widely used.Polygons are straightforward and easy to work with.Polygons are made up of 3 or more corners.

Non Planar Polygons Faces-
laminated Faces-Polygon faces lying right on top of one another.Laminated faces can occur typically in extruding process.
Polygon Bowtie Effect-Can occur when a quad or n gon is twisted but remains on the same plane which willnot allow software to understand which direction is the front of the normal.
Subdivision Surface-form of geometry that seems to combine teh ease of polygons with the rounded, smoothed shapes of Nurbs.
Texturing-process of creating surfaces and color attributes of models to make them resemble whatever object they are supposed to represent.
UVs-2D representations of 3D object.UV directly related to vertices on polygon an NURBS but UVs cannot be manipulated in 3D space.
Shaders-Instructions that the software use to calculate rendering effects and they allow artists to define the look of object and the way its surface behaves in final render
Trasparency-How transparent or see through the object will be.This attribute used to create effects such as glass
Ambience-amount of ambient color that will affect an object's surface
Color-color of the object like red or blue
