Organizational structure.
An organizational structure is simply the way in which a business is arranged as it carries out its activities so that everyone knows what their duties are and who they report to.
An organizational prevents low levels of productivity as well as chaos
There are two types of organisatioal structures : tall and flat and each plays a major role.

Advantages
Less lines of hierarchy.
Staff feel empowered as they experience autonomy and independence.
Fewer lines of comunication.
Disadvantages
Tall
Advantages
A higher degree of supervision allows for greater control.
Staff receive greater support from their managers.
Allows for opportunities for promotion and greater staff motivation.
Disadvantages
Many levels of higher achy.
Span of control is narrow.
Chain of command is long.
Longer lines of communication.
Can be expensive to run due to high wages.
