Mise En Scene
The mise en scene of freedom and anarchy in V for Vendetta is very highly prevalent throughout the entire movie. The explosions that are seen in both the old bailey scene and in the end once V has died, when Evey destroys parliament, the explosions are good representation of the mise en scene. The colours that come from the explosions are a highlight of the hope that the explosions of the two monuments bring.
Allusion
The destruction of the courtrooms at the start of the movie, is a nod to the Gun powder plot in which Guy Fawkes was famous for helping with.
The destruction of the courtrooms caused by V took place on the 5th of November and the Gun powder plot also took place on the 5th of November.

Using bigotry in the mise en scene is often used in scenes where the TV host is prevalent. In the first proper scene, he is on the TV as both V and Evey get ready for their nights. He is yelling about hating almost every single minority in the entire world. The colours are of the BTN, showing that he is important to the news and the government.

The Guy Fawkes mask is a symbol of the rebellion and revolution that is shown throughout the movie but particularly in the final scene where the vast population is seen to be wearing the mask and this can be considered to be their united front or symbolic of the fact that there is a revolution and they are now following the ideas of V in an attempt to gain freedom. ![0]
