Loyola thought that Personal piety was when people would point the finger at others, blaming others for thier mistakes, when god knew who really did it.

Part of the affirmation of catholic doctrine is baroque churches. They want people to walk in these churches and be blown away by the art.
Baroque art was a very important thing for Catholics, because they started putting this type of art in the churches, and this became THE type of art you put in Catholic churches.

Baroque chruches were made so that when people walked into the chruch that they would be in awe.
Baroque art was very very detailed and interiquet. The artists make the art look very realistic, and make them somehow resemble god.
