neatrul response (Ns)
the stimulus to be associated with the UCS so that it to produces the respone this stimulus does not initially elicity a response
conditioned stimulus CS the stimulus which is neutral at the start of classical conditioning and does not normally produce the ucr but eventually becoe associated with the ucs
conditioned response cr
the learned acquired response to conditioned stimulus occurs after CS has been assoiated with the ucs

conditioning
classical coditioning: is a three phase process that results in the involuntary association between a neutral stimulus and unconditioned stimulus, a conditioended response, including stimulus generlisation, stimulate, discrimanation
first phase: before conditioning: involves a respnse to a stimulus that has not yet been conditioned, it is a natural or automatic explained as an unconditioned stiimulus that results in an unconditioned response there is also a neatru stimulus that cuases no response
second phase: during conditioning: involves develpment of an association between the neatrul stimulus and the unconditioned stimulus
third phase: after conditioning: results in a now condition stimulus producing a conditioned response as a result of its association with the uncondtioned stimulus
operent conditioning:
a way of learning which imploys rewards and punishments for behaivour, through operent conditiong an association between a behaivour and a consequence for that behaivour.
memory reconstruction
the process of actively recreating or reasemlbing the detail of a specefic long term memory during retrieval
