More than 25 years after the armistice and the establishment of diplomatic relations between the United States and China, the Cold War began to ease, and all parties began to reconsider their policies on the Korean peninsula.
The Korean Armistice Agreement was finally signed at Panmunjom on July 27, 1953. Later, they did not follow the original 38th parallel.
