John Dewey
He was born on October 20, 1859 in New York City. He died on June 1, 1952. He was an-American philosopher, pedagogue and psychologist.
Ralph Tyler
Born April 22, 1902 in Chicago City. He died on February 18, 1994. He was an-American educator.
Differences
TYLER
Defines the importance of the contexts in which students live for the optimal development of the learning process.
Curriculum design should be based on learning objectives and not on academic activities.
Academic assessment is based on the relationship between the learning objectives achieved and the educational achievements obtained by the students.
It focuses on developing a didactic and achievement-based curriculum planning.
