Dilute crude oil with hot water to reduce its viscosity
Screen the crude oil to remove the course fibrous materials
Reheat the crude oil to 90-95 celsius and pump to settling tank
Retention of the crude liquor in the tank to enables the oil to rise to the surface.
Overflow continuously to the reception tank
The settling oil will be purified by centrifuging to reduce the dirt content
The underflow from the continuous (sludge) will be discharge to the effluent treatment plant (POME)
At POME, methane will be produced (used as energy) through anaerobic digestion
Nuts required to separate the shell from kernel
Separation of the nuts from accompanying fibre was done in the depericarper station
Depericarper used to polish the nuts, partially drying the fibre and transport to the boiler house and grading the size of foreign material.
Dry the nuts (60-77 celsius) then transport to the cracking machine
Separated shells will be sent to the yard as FUEL.
