What is the best design for hydraulic powered turbines which outputs the maximum energy which can be distributed to all households in a city?
Motor
Gear Motor
Gear Motors, compact and provide continuous service at rated power levels at moderate efficiency. High tolerance for contamination and best used for application in dirty environment
Piston Motor
Piston Motors, radial piston motors are extremely efficient and rated for relatively high torque and are available in fixed and variable volume version
Vane Motor
Vane motors are compact, simple in design, reliable, and have good overall efficiency at rated conditions. They have limited low-speed capability, however. Vane motors use springs or fluid pressure to extend the vanes. A vane motor uses a vane to generate mechanical energy. Pressurized fluid strikes the blades in the vane, causing it to rotate and produce output torque
More Motor Type
The most common type of hydraulic motor available is the axial piston type. Axial piston hydraulic motors have high volumetric efficiency. This allows steady speed under variable torque or fluid viscosity conditions.
Radial piston hydraulic motors have a cylinder barrel attached to a driven shaft and can usually produce more torque than axial piston hydraulic motors. They do have a limited speed range, however, and are more sensitive to hydraulic fluid contamination.
Internal Gear
An internal gear motor uses internal gears to produce mechanical energy. Pressurized fluid turns the internal gears, producing output torque
An external gear motor uses externally mounted gears to produce mechanical energy. Pressurized fluid forces the external gears to turn, producing output torque.
