MAIN causes of WW1
Imperialism: A larger or more powerful nation being in control of another (known as colonies)
Evidence 2:
Nations/countries took control of other nations/countries of new innovations. This was done because these new technological advancement allowed nations/countries to colonize the originally un-colonizable. For example, the development of Quinine allowed European colonizers to invade Africa.
All of these examples could lead to general conflict. The process of colonizing in general would cause conflict. The taking and selling of natural resources could damage the economy of the country that is being colonized. It could also take the resources from those who own and need them. These would both cause conflict. The new technological advancements could cause harm by harming the people of the countries being colonized. Finally the spread of religion and ideas could cause conflict because people already have religions/ideas and they don't want to be forced to convert/adopt the ideas or die.
Evidence 3:
Nations/countries took control of other countries and nations to spread their ideas and religions. One main example of this is European colonists trying to spread Christianity.
Evidence 1:
Nations/countries took control of other nations and countries for natural resources and to spread trade. This would increase both their supply and demand.

Alliances: a bond or a relationship with another country or countries
Evidence 2: Economic
Most alliances contained economic aspects. These aspects included trade, financial agreements, investments and loans.
All of these examples could start a conflict. Political alliances could lead to one country making political decisions for their country that in turn makes unwanted decisions for their allied country. Economic aspects of alliances could lead to conflict because a country could not repay their loans or just keep taking another country's money. Finally military alliances could cause conflict because if their is a alliance between the military of two countries, another country could see that as a threat.
Evidence 3: Military
Military alliances are seen as the most important. The countries agree to help each other with their military or to not attack each other.
Evidence 1: Political
Political alliances were formed to to help unify countries or nations under similar belief systems and structures about their politics

Evidence 2: Military expansion
Many militarizes were expanding their armies. This increases the navy but also the expenses to buy such a big military would be high
All of these examples of militarism shows how this was one of the main cause of WW1. The military expansion led to many militarized expanding while also being expensive. This can cause conflict because many people wanted to raise more armies and improve. The military having new technology was other evidence because this was some of the cause of at arms race.
Evidence 3: New Technology and Weapons

Nationalism: extreme patriotism. Wholeheartedly believing that your country is the best of all.
Evidence 2: Propaganda.
While Nationalism was developing various forms of propaganda were put out in an attempt to create more nationalists and make people more proud of their country. Some examples of this are within music, literature and art.
All of these examples on Nationalism could lead to a general conflict. Military development could lead to conflict because opposing countries could believe that the developing country is planning attack. Propaganda could cause conflict with other outside countries and the people within the country. Some may believe the "information" while others may not, thus causing a dispute. Finally, weakness of other countries could cause conflict because if a country is known to be weaker than another, they will be targeted.
Evidence 3: Weakness.
The nationalists saw all other countries as weak and beneath them. They also believed that their country was destined for growth and good fortune while all other countries would perish. This could also connect back to religious ideology disputes.
Evidence 1: Militarism.
The development of militarism made the nationalists more confident in their country because of their military status.
